After a few years of trading and having a better understanding of the customer it wants to attract, Jewelled Buddha was ready for a fresh new look supported by visual communication and marketing collaterals which would help with driving exposure opportunities and sales growth.
After a detailed analysis of the market and its brand positioning, we started the process by giving the brand a new logo design featuring typography recognisable by their targeted audience, and therefore triggering trust and quality associated with this type of font. As Jewelled Buddha brings a sophisticated edit of conscious fashion accessories mainly from travels in India and Far East Asia, we wanted to reflect this in the logo design. We therefore created a little symbol which sits above the logo to communicate the wanderlust element and ethos of the brand. In addition, the brand is also able to communicate its message of "style made to empower" with their tagline.
We tweaked the brand colours, introducing dark blue to the brand story giving it a modern feel. Pink is reflected in the vibrant product offering and keeping in line with its handcrafting, sustainability and ethical values.
The next step was to create a new brand imagery which would reflect its mission and communicate the brand essence. We built the story around "a touch of sophisticated wanderlust". We arranged a photoshoot in the beautiful Jonathan Charles furniture showroom in Chelsea, London which created the perfect backdrop for the story. Ensuring that the storytelling imagery can be used across many marketing touchpoints, Jewelled Buddha was able to maximise the content for lookbook design, PR exposure, magazine features, marketing and promotional activities such as social media platforms, website content creation, packaging and POS (points of sale).
Keeping with the brand aesthetic and visual communication, we designed an elegant A5 horizontal lookbook, telling the stories of the products while reinforcing the key messages about Jewelled Buddha. The lookbook is available for viewing not only on Jewelled Buddha's website but also on Issuu, where new audiences can be reached globally.
